Providing advanced education to students, residents, fellows, our faculty and our community is not just our goal - it is our expectation. We work diligently to create an educational environment that will allow all those who come to our Department to learn in any number of ways and venues. To be sure, we also expect our graduates from our Programs to play leadership roles in their fields of interest - primary care pediatrics, subspecialty care, clinical or basic research or education. We work hard to ensure that our well-balanced and broad based training programs set the standard for excellence in the traditional as well as emerging areas of pediatrics. To this end, our Department views our educational activities in 7 key areas:
- Faculty Development
- Fellowship Programs
- Medical Student Education
- Residency Training Program
- Combined Medicine/Pediatrics Residency Program
- Continuing Medical Education in Pediatrics
- Continuing Medical Education at Yale
The components of our educational mission are directed by a talented, diverse and innovative group of individuals who are all committed to excellence in pediatric education. Their efforts and all of our Programs are coordinated through our Office of Pediatric Education.
We invite you to browse these pages attached to the links above, get to know our educational leaders and our Department's educational programs. I believe that our Department's strong commitment to education offers wonderful and varied opportunities to our students, residents, fellows, faculty and our community.
