Overview:
Geology is the science and study of the Earth, its composition, structure, physical properties, history, and the processes that shape it (earth sciences). The Bachelor of Science curriculum is designed to prepare students to become professional geologists in mining, petroleum, and environmental industries, geological surveys, and for entry into a graduate program in the geological sciences. The emphasis of the Bachelor of Arts curriculum is on environmental issues. It is designed to prepare the student for entry-level employment in the geological sciences or as a degree through which the student wishes to eventually pursue careers in teaching, journalism, law, etc.

Admission Requirements:
Any student may declare a major in Geology. Students must complete College Algebra and English 1000 with a C- or above and have a 2.0 cumulative GPA to complete a graduation plan with the College of Arts & Science.
Minimum GPA for Admission: 2.0
