Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics in the College of Arts and Sciences
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with an emphasis in Economics in the College of Business.


Overview:

The program offers a global view of the field of economics with an emphasis on applied problems. An Economics major prepares students for careers in business, journalism and government and for graduate work in areas such as economics, business, political science, policy making and law. A basic understanding of economics develops insights into the many issues facing contemporary society, such as corporate downsizing, environmental pollution, urban decay, poverty, international trade, health care, educational reform, politics and sports deals.

Academic Information

Admission Requirements:
Students in the College of Arts & Science must have an overall GPA of 2.5 after 30 credits or a GPA in economics of 2.67 after at least 8 credit of courses in economics. Students must also complete College Algebra and English 1000 with a C- or above to complete a graduation plan with the College of Arts & Science.
